Lexicon Base in Persian for Object Manipulation

This paper introduces, motivates, and illustrates a new approach to the model-ing of lexicon base. This lexicon is used in the process of scene generation, described in terms of sentences in Persian. The lexicon base is rich enough to handle scene expressions. It contains not only case frame information, but also it helps to determine the following (a) meaning of spatial propositions; (b) the problem of reference system; (c) the role of default knowledge about object positions ; and (d) the reenment of multiple meanings of an object particularly obvious in Persian. We 1 describe why the lexicon is suitable for sentence analysis based on case grammar which is appropriate for a word-order-free language such as Per-sian. Finally, the link between lexicon and inference is brieey approached.
